Pagasa: Still low chance that dry season will start in PH

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines is yet to enter the dry season even though warmer temperatures are to be expected in the coming days, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Wednesday.

Pagasa senior weather specialist Benison Estareja said that while the easterlies, which bring warmer temperatures in the country, continue to prevail, the northeast monsoon may still return next week, which will bring colder weather.

“Sa mga nagtatanong kung magsisimula na ‘yung tag-init o dry season natin ay mababa pa ‘yung tsansa because posible pa ngang bumalik itong amihan,” he said in the weather bureau’s daily weather upd…
