483 COVID-19 protocol violators held in Cavite amid surge of new cases

LUCENA CITY — At least 483 persons were held in the last two days for violating health and safety protocols put in place in Cavite against the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) amid the surge of new virus carriers in the province.

Police Colonel Marlon Santos, Cavite police chief, said the violators were caught in different parts of the province for not wearing face masks or disregarding the curfew hours in their respective localities.

The reports on the arrests were posted by the police public information office on its Facebook page on March 13 and 14.

On March 13, police said 88 COVID-19 protocol violators were accosted and another 395 were reported the next day.
