LUCENA CITY — The number of active COVID-19 cases in this city dropped to seven as of Saturday from a high of 279 four months ago, the Lucena public information office, citing the latest report from the local Inter-Agency Task Force, announced on social media.
From March 1 to 6, only four new COVID-19 cases were reported in the city.
The highest tally of active cases in the city was 279 on Oct. 21, 2020.
As of March 6, Lucena City, still under the modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) status until March 31, has recorded 1,575 COVID-19 cases, with 1,502 recoveries and 66 deaths.
