A lifeguard with only one leg jumped into the water to save a 68-year-old driver stuck inside a sinking car in New Jersey, United States.
The SUV plunged into the water off of the Hudson County Park on Nov. 10, as per the Jersey Journal last Thursday, Nov. 12.
While most bystanders stood in shock over the incident, Anthony Capuano and his friend Marcelino Cruz immediately sprang into action. The 29-year-old lifeguard removed his prosthetic leg before jumping into the water to free the driver.
When the two men reached the elderly driver named Joseph Kadian, Capuano quickly grabbed him and pulled him out of the vehicle.
