MANILA, Philippines — The 487,200 doses of Covid-19 vaccine from AstraZeneca that will be delivered to the Philippines on Thursday through the Covax Facility were donated by European countries, according to the Department of Health (DOH).

The vaccines were developed in South Korea, the health agency said in a media briefer.

Covax is a global vaccine sharing scheme aimed at ensuring equitable access to Covid-19 vaccines, especially in low and middle-income countries.

The vaccines from the British drugmaker were donated by the following, according to DOH:
