MANILA, Philippines — Veteran broadcaster Doris Bigornia has suffered a heart attack and would need to undergo open-heart surgery, according to her co-host and fellow ABS-CBN reporter Alvin Elchico.
Elchico made the announcement — with permission from Bigornia’s family — over their DZMM Teleradyo program SRO on Tuesday night.
He said Bigornia suffered a heart attack on Sunday night and was rushed to the hospital. He also said her SRO partner is now at the intensive care unit (ICU).
