Number of active COVID-19 cases in Quezon drops to lowest, but 2 new deaths reported

LUCENA CITY —- The number of active cases daily in Quezon province has dropped to the lowest, even as two more coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients died, authorities reported Tuesday.
The active COVID-19 cases in the province dropped to 212 as of Tuesday, the lowest daily record, according to the 5 p.m. Feb. 16 bulletin of the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO).
The province’s highest tally was on Nov. 12, 2020 with 1,119 cases. It fell to 343 on Feb. 1, even after the holiday season.
Lucena City now has only 35 active cases, which peaked at 83 on Jan. 12.
