MANILA, Philippines — The tail-end of a frontal system will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula and Northern Mindanao, while the northeast monsoon will affect Luzon on Monday, according to the state weather bureau.
The tail-end of a frontal system is where cold winds from the northeast monsoon and the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, converge, Meno Mendoza, weather specialist at the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), explained in a weather forecast.
