MANILA, Philippines — Two to three million workers of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) may benefit from the P52-billion wage subsidy program being proposed by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said Monday.
“Ang budgetary request namin ay P52 billion. Kapag maapprove ‘yan we hope to retain the status of employment ng ating mga workers by about two to three million,” Bello said in an interview on ABS-CBN News Channel.
