MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has confiscated around P15 million worth of cigarettes, medicines and othergoods in a storage facility in Paco, Manila after its caretakers failed to present necessary documents for the items.
According to a statement from BOC on Thursday, the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service and Enforcement and Security Service and Manila International Container Port, in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard, confiscated the goods on February 4.
BOC said caretakers of the storage facility failed to present documents for the products during the inspection made by the composite team.
