Townhall in Camarines Sur on lockdown after employees contact COVID-19 case

LEGAZPI CITY —- The Lagonoy townhall in Camarines Sur province was placed on lockdown on Wednesday after a frequent visitor’s wife tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Lagonoy Mayor Delfin Pilapil III advised the public that business transactions at the town hall are suspended as disinfection and contact tracing procedures are conducted.

Pilapil said in a phone interview that as soon as the disinfection of the entire municipal building is finished and the tracing of the employees, who came in close contact with the COVID suspect is completed, the lockdown would be lifted. He said the local government has close to 200 employees.
