COTABATO CITY–Unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle shot and killed on Tuesday (Feb. 8) a member of the council of a village in the city, according to police.
Dick Amino Abas, 54, council member of Poblacion 5 village, died from multiple gunshot wounds in the head and body.
He was pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to village chair Rustom Canda.
Canda said Abas was buying sodaat a roadside store on Jose Lim Sr. Street at Poblacion 6 village when attacked at around 10 a.m.
Police found .45 caliber slugsat the crime scene.
