SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—A magnitude 4.4 earthquake slightly shook this province at 3:48 p.m. on Monday (Feb. 8), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Initial information from Phivolcs said that the tectonic earthquake’s epicenter was located 141 kilometers southwest of this town.
Phivolcs said it had a depth of 40 km.
The quake was not likely to cause damage or generate aftershocks, it said.
