LUCENA CITY — A van passenger died while four others were injured when their vehicle crashed into a parked cargo truck along the Maharlika Highway in Atimonan, Quezon province early Saturday.
Initial investigation showed that the van driven by Patrick Ced, while negotiating a descending section of the diversion road, bumped the rear a parked cargo truck in Barangay Malinao Ilaya around 1 a.m.
Due to the strong impact, the driver’s wife, Lea Ced, who was seated at the front, was pinned and sustained fatal injuries.
