MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo is currently focused on helping people overcome the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, her spokesman Atty. Barry Gutierrez said Thursday, after her name was tagged to be one of the Liberal Party’s (LP) potential presidential candidates for the 2022 national elections.
“VP Leni is currently focused on working to help our fellow Filipinos overcome the challenges of the pandemic and the long quarantine,” he said in a statement. “This is the need of the moment and her priority right now.”
