NAGUILIAN, ISABELA — Hampered by the pandemic, the Bureau of Internal Revenue in Isabela has accelerated its tax collection among wholesalers, large distributors of goods, contractors, hardware dealers and the underground economy to achieve its P4-billion collection target.

“The pandemic has affected our collection efforts but we have been spearheading a massive information drive and tax enforcement campaigns to reach our goal,” said Isabela Revenue District Officer Stimson Cureg on Friday (Jan. 29). Rice millers and warehouse operators are at the top of the tax collection efforts.
