Four men developed mouth ulcers after eating 30 kilograms of oranges to avoid paying extra baggage fee at an airport in Kunming in Yunnan Province, China.

The four apparently ate the oranges within only 20 to 30 minutes as the 300 (around $46 or P2,200) fee was “more than they could afford,” as per Global Timeson Jan. 20.

They were on a business trip, and reportedly bought a 30-kilogram box of oranges worth 50 (around $8 or P370) before boarding a plane.

They learned that they were going to get charged, and not wanting to pay or let the oranges go to waste, they decided to eat the fruits instead.
