MANILA, Philippines — Cold weather is likely to carry through in Luzon over the next few days as the northeast monsoon or “amihan” affects the region, particularly its eastern section, the state weather bureau said Friday.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Shelly Ignacio said the northeast monsoon is getting stronger that cold weather may be expected even in Metro Manila.
“Asahan po natin na patuloy pa rin pong nakakaapekto itong amihan o northeast monsoon dito po ‘yan sa Luzon, partikular na po sa eastern section ng Luzon,” she said.
