MANILA, Philippines — Suspected shabu, or crystal meth, with a street value of P1.8 million were intercepted byauthorities from two suspects who claimed to be from a religious organization delivering goods to inmates at the Davao City Jail on Friday.

The illegal drug was stashed inside packets of instant noodles when suspects Doroteo Guibernas, 63, and Mylene Tamondong, 34, allegedly tried to brazenly traffic them inside the jail in President Rodrigo Duterte’s hometown.
