As a teen, director Dolly Dulu saw the 2007 Thai movie “Love of Siam,” which featured a gay romance starring Mario Maurer.
In a year that has seen Filipino Boys Love (BL) series crop up left and right, Dulu is behind the BL movie “The Boy Foretold By The Stars” which is set to premiere at the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) on Dec. 25.
“Nung napanood ko siya, na-realize ko doon na okay lang pala ma-in love sa isang lalaki. Parang it’s not something bad, ‘di ba? It’s something you should be happy about,” Dulu said about “Love of Siam” during the online conference for “The Boy Foretold” on Thursday, Dec. 17.
