2 wounded after cargo truck carrying relief goods fell into canal in Albay

LEGAZPI CITY —- Two persons were wounded after a cargo truck loaded with relief goods fell into a canal while negotiating a downhill road in a remote village in Bacacay town in Albay province Monday, a police report said.

Major Jan King Calipay, Bacacay police chief, said in a phone interview that the truck was driven by Alvin Zuiga, 30, a resident of Legazpi City.

Zuiga told investigators that he lost control of the truck in Barangay Cagbulacao around 7 a.m.

Two of the four truck helpers, who were not identified by police in its report, were taken to the Albay Doctors Hospital in this city for treatment.
