MANILA, Philippines — Seven people died while one person was injured after Tropical Depression Vicky caused flooding mostly in Mindanao areas, data from Philippine National Police (PNP) showed Sunday.
In a situation report, PNP Public Information Office said two deaths were from Eastern Visayas, while five fatalities were reported from the Caraga region.
In a separate message, PNP spokesman Police Brigadier General Ildebrandi Usana said six out of seven fatalities were drowning incidents. The remaining victim died of a car accident due to a landslide, Usana said.
