Pushing further the protection of the country’s frontliners against COVID-19, Rotary International districts in the Philippines and Japan have teamed up to raise and donate 144,000 face shields to 42 government hospitals in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and Central Visayas.
Rotary International Districts (RID) 2760, 2530, 2560, 2710, 2840, 2650 and 2500 in Japan provided the funds for the procurement of the face shields valued at $180,000 via a global grant applicationwith The Rotary Foundation dubbed “Rotary Face Shield Project Against COVID-19” with RID 3780, Quezon City, as host district and Rotary Club Nagoya Wago as host club-international.
