MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Vicky, which was last spotted at 140 kilometers east of Davao City, slowed down on Friday as it moves closer toward the Davao Oriental-Surigao del Sur, state weather bureau.
In its 11 a.m. weather report, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Vicky is moving west-northwestward from 15 kilometers per hour (kph) to 10 kph.
It is packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph, Pagasa said.
