(Eagle News) — A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck Sarangani on Wednesday, December 16. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 11 kilometers northeast of Alabel at 7:22 a.m. It had a depth of 54 kilometers. The following instrumental intensities were reported: Intensity V – General Santos City Intensity IV – Kiamba, Sarangani;Tupi and Koronadal City, South Cotabato Intensity III – Alabel, Sarangani; Kidapawan City Damage to property and aftershocks are expected.
