90 new COVID-19 deaths push PH’s death toll past 25,000-mark

MANILA, Philippines — COVID-19 deaths in the country breached the 25,000-mark after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 90 new casualties on Saturday, July 3.

According to the DOH’s COVID-19 bulletin, the 25,063 deaths due to the disease represent 1.75 percent of the total confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country, which now stands at 1.430 million.

Earlier, DOH numbers showed that active COVID-19 cases in the country are now at 53,665 compared to Friday’s 55,482, after the country recorded 7,698 new recoveries.

The DOH said all laboratories were operational last July 1, but five laboratories were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repositor…
