MANILA, Philippines — Nine individuals — six of them Chinese and three Filipinos — were held for questioning on Sunday on suspicion of using fake medical certificates in an effort to get vaccinated against COVID-19 in Tondo, Manila, according to the Manila Police District (MPD).
The nine individuals were accosted by police as they were trying to present themselves for vaccination using the spurious documents at the Sergio Osmea High School in Tondo, according to information provided by MPD Station 1, which is on Raxabago Street.
