PUERTO PRINCESA CITY —- Eight villages in the island town of Coron in Palawan province will be put under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), the tightest quarantine classification, starting 10 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, until May 26.
The villages to be placed under the critical zone to contain COVID-19 are Poblacion 1, Tagumpay, Guadalupe, Poblacion 2, Poblacion 3, Poblacion 4, Poblacion 5, and Poblacion 6, according to the Coron information office.
The localized lockdown was imposed due to the spike in cases since May 1, five days after they announced the town to be COVID-free.
