LUCENA CITY — Six more people died from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Quezon, bringing the death toll in the province to 327, health authorities said.
The new fatalities are in Candelaria town, with three deaths and one each in Pagbilao, Real, and Burdeos towns, the Integrated Provincial Health Office reported at 5 p.m. on April 12.
At least 42 of the total recorded deaths in the province since the pandemic started last year were recorded this month.
Lucena, the capital city of Quezon, has the highest number of fatalities, with 72.
The province has been seeing an alarming spike in COVID-19 cases, with the addition of 75 new patients on Monday.
