3 more COVID-19 deaths raise Olongapo toll to 61

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—Three more COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Olongapo City on Friday (April 23), according to officials.

In an advisory, Olongapo Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the new fatalities raised to 61 the city’s COVID-19 death tally.

The fatalities included a 39-year-old woman from the village of Mabayuan who suffered from diabetes and pneumonia, the most severe symptom of COVID-19.

She experienced difficulty in breathing that led to her hospitalization. She later died while being treated.

The other fatality was a 58-year-old man who died of COVID-19 complications like acute respiratory failure and pulmonary congestion.
