3.7-magnitude quake hits Antique town

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 3.7 earthquake struck Patnongon, Antique on Sunday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

In its initial bulletin, Phivolcs said the quake of tectonic origin, hit 30 kilometers (kms) northwest of Patnongon at 3:56 p.m.

State seismologists said the earthquake had a depth of two kms.

No aftershocks or damage should be expected from the earthquake, said Phivolcs.
