LUCENA CITY, Philippines — Two motorcycle riders died in a vehicular accident in Cavinti town in Laguna province on Saturday night, police said.
Police regional office reported that Frederick Griego, 46, was cruising the national highway aboard a motorcycle with Remelyn Sarmiento as his passenger when an oncoming Mitsubishi L200 pickup truck being driven by Rodelino Ruazol accidentally hit them in a head-on collision in a section of the highway in Barangay (village) Tibatib around 7:30 p.m.
The two motorcycle riders sustained grave injuries and were taken to Laguna Medical Center in Sta. Cruz town but Griego died along the way.
