OLONGAPO CITY —- After two days of no new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in this city, two medical front-liners were the latest to get infected, officials said.
Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the patients are a 29-year-old female health worker and a 32-year-old male resident physician trainee.
They both underwent a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction test on Feb. 13.
The female health worker has a history of asthma, Paulino said.
“She had some episodes of palpitation and shortness of breath for months, which she experienced again last Feb. 10 and 11,” Paulino said in a statement.
