LUCENA CITY —- The two-day “simultaneous anti-criminality law enforcement operation” (Sacleo) in Quezon province has led to the arrests of 197 suspected criminals, police said Wednesday.
Simultaneous operations in 39 towns and two cities from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1 resulted in the arrests of 16 suspected drug pushers and 14 wanted criminals, four of whom are among the top 10 wanted felons in the province, Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police director, said in a report.
Police teams also caught eight violators for illegal gambling, two illegal loggers, and one for carrying an illegal firearm.
