LUCENA CITY—Police accosted over 1,000 alleged violators of health protocols in Cavite in the last four days amid the continued rampage of COVID-19 in the province.
Col. Marlon Santos, Cavite police chief, said in a report posted on Facebook on Wednesday (March 24) that 720 individuals were caught not wearing face masks or violating curfew.
On March 23, 193 violators were also arrested; March 22, 335; and another 220 on March 21.
The violators paid fines or rendered community service in their municipalities.
