10 youth activists held in Zambales for breaking health protocols on Labor Day

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales- Ten members of the League of Filipino Students were arrested on Labor Day (May 1) for allegedly breaking social distancing rules at the boundary of the towns of Subic and Castillejos.

One of the LFS members said they were on their way to the Labor Day rally at Angeles City in Pampanga when police officers flagged down their 15-seater van at a checkpoint at 7:30 a.m.

The LFS members were detained and were scheduled to undergo COVID-19 tests.

Zambales is under a modified general community quarantine, the lowest quarantine classification in the country.
