LUCENA CITY — Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez has imposed a one-week liquor ban in the province in a bid to curb the spread of the highly-contagious coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“Ang pagbebenta, pamamahagi, at pagkonsumo ng anumang uri ng alak ay mahigpit na ipinagbabawal,” Hernandez said on his Facebook Sunday (March 28) afternoon.

He asked for the cooperation of local chief executives in the province for the strict implementation of the liquor ban that takes effect from March 29 to April 4.
The governor also appealed to the public to comply with the ban.
