PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. declared special non-working days in five municipalities, according to the Palace.
The holidays cover municipalities in Isabela, Cebu, Palawan, Nueva Vizcaya, and Davao del Sur for local founding anniversaries, fiestas and other celebrations, the Presidential Communications Office said in a statement on Sunday.
Under Proclamation No. 1450, Sept. 28 was declared a special non-working day in Luna, Isabela for its 77th founding anniversary.
Sept. 29 was declared a special non-working day in Argao, Cebu for Araw ng Argao under Proclamation No. 1451.
Proclamation No. 1452 declared Oct. 1 a special non-working day in Aborlan, Palawan for its town fiesta, while Proclamation No. 1453 declared Oct. 2 a holiday in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya for Solano Day.
In Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur, Oct. 5 was declared a special non-working day for the municipality’s 142nd founding anniversary under Proclamation No. 1454.
The proclamations said the holidays would allow residents to participate in the respective celebrations.
