State-owned Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) has installed an offsite automated teller machine (ATM) in Carlos P. Garcia, a fourth-class municipality in the province of Bohol as part of the bank’s mission to reach more Filipinos in rural communities by expanding the touchpoints for formal financial services.

A first in the municipality’s history, the DBP touchscreen ATM, the only ATM on the island, enables a more convenient access to secure banking transactions for the town’s over 25,000 residents of 23 barangay (villages).

Present during the ribbon-cutting ceremony are (from left) DBP Ubay Branch Head and Assistant Manager Erzon Gamus, Carlos P. Garcia Mayor Fernando Estavilla, Bohol Second District Rep. Erico Aristotle Aumentado and Bohol Governor Arthur Yap.
