Local actor Migo Adecer was under arrest on Tuesday after being involved in a hit-and-run that incapacitated two personnel of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) who were on a motorcycle.
According to Police Col. Rogelio Simon, Makati City Police Chief, the 25-year-old actor continued driving his white Subaru BRZ even after he had already hit the two traffic personnel.
The victims were identified by police as Rogelio Formelos Castillano, 39; and Michelle Gallova Papin, 34 and are recovering from their injuries at a local hospital.
The incident happened at around 6 p.m. at the corner of J.P. Rizal and Pertirra Streets in Barangay Poblacion Makati City.
Police stated they saw a commotion at Pertirra Street and the two hit-and-run victims being loaded on an ambulance. Adecer was later surrounded by pursuing traffic enforcers on N. Garcia Street.
The actor stated that he did not do anything and declined to get off his vehicle. He also refused to surrender his driver’s license and even drove his vehicle backwards, subsequently hitting a police vehicle.
Simon added that Adecer was purportedly under the influence of alcohol since he only kept shouting when they tried to reason with him.
Adecer is under custody of the Makati City Police and will be facing charges of Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Physical Injuries and Damage to Property and Disobedience to Person in Authority.
