That was how Creamline star Jema Galanza described having someone like veteran internationalist Sachi Minowa in their team.

“Jaja (Minowa) is easy to be with inside the court, we’re learning so much from her,” said Ms. Galanza referring to Ms. Minowa after the Creamline Cool Smashers’ straight-set victory over the Ho Chi Minh Volleyball Federation (HVF) in a PVL Invitational duel last Tuesday.

The instant cohesiveness showed after the 11-time league champion emerged as the only unbeaten squad in the short but swift six-team conference.

And the proud ice cream-manufacturing franchise will have a chance to make it three in a row and inch closer to claiming the first slot to the championship round when it clashes with an unpredictable Farm Fresh (1-1) at 1:30 p.m.

The top two after the single-round robin elimination will battle for the crown in a one-game finale.

Ms. Galanza also said they appreciate Ms. Minowa making an effort to adjust to the time-tested, championship-churning team system.

“She is also adjusting to the system and we thank Jaja for that,” said Ms. Galanza.

Also scheduled for Thursday is the PLDT (1-1) showdown with HVF (0-2) at 4 p.m. and the Est Cola (1-1)-Nxled (1-1) encounter at 6:30 p.m. — Joey Villar
