La Salle Lady Spikers easily defeated National University, 25-20, 25-18, 25-10, to regain its winning ways Wednesday in the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball held at FilOil Flying V Center.
As three-time defending champions relied on team captain Desiree Cheng, who banged in 17 points aside from providing a route they lacked.
It was in their previous game, La Salle surrendered in three sets to University of the Philippines Lady Maroons.
Currently La Salle is secured along with first game winner University of Santo Tomas at 6-3, right below league leader Ateneo (7-1).
The Lady Bulldogs, meanwhile, who dragged the Lady Spikers to a four-setter in the first round, were nowhere near that form as they took in their seventh defeat in nine games.
