Butch Ramirez, Philippine Sports Commission Chair has called out a meeting with the athletes and coaches to personally hear out sentiments on how the government sports agency should deliver on their needs.
“(As chairman,) I’m the father of the PSC and I want to know their thoughts for us to serve them better,” stated Ramirez.
National coaches and team captains of every sport each will have a dialogue with Ramirez and the complete PSC leadership on April 1 before all the athletes get their turn the following day.
In the meantime, the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) will hold an executive board meeting on Friday to tackle how the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (Phisgoc) was formed and its relationship with the POC as far as the 30th SEA Games are concerned.
The country will host the 30th SEA Games, an 11-nation sportsfest on November 30 until December 11 as planned, but a POC insider said the partnership between Phisgoc and the POC has not been cemented out yet.
