After their money-spinning 2015 superfight, Floyd Mayweather has zero interest in coming out of retirement for a rematch with Manny Pacquiao.
Ellerbe, Mayweather Promotions ‘ chief executive, informed the boxingscene.com website that not even the possibility of another profitable payday would tempt Mayweather back into the arena.
Mayweather is thought to have earned an estimated $300 million from the point win over Pacquiao, which remains the most profitable battle in history, generating more than $600 million in income.
Pacquiao’s longtime trainer Freddie Roach said last week that after a frustrating defeat in the first session, he would be eager for the Filipino icon to set up a game with Mayweather.
While Mayweather will be on the ringside for Pacquiao’s world title fight against Keith Thurman in Las Vegas on Saturday, Ellerbe claims there is no possibility of a replay.
Instead, Ellerbe stated that Mayweather was pleased with his retirement.
