Vanjoss Bayaban was named Grand Champion of the fourth season of “The Voice Kids” at Resorts World Manila on Sunday.
Bayaban sidelined the competition with his rendition of “You Raise Me Up.”
Bayaban won 62.11 percent of the votes, followed by Carmelle Collado and Cyd Pangca with 24.74 percent and 13.15 percent respectively.
A young boy from Pangasinan, Bayaban woke the judges with his high notes as he performed “My Love Will See You Through” in blind auditions.
During the fighting rounds, Geronimo had to make a difficult decision by pairing Bayaban with Jay Rome Sevillejo and Renz Aleguiojo. The trio performed “Anytime You Need A Friend.” In the end, it was Bayaban who progressed to the next round.
Bayaban was persistent in impressing the judges.
