Cebu Pacific on Friday reported a Flight 5J 803 bound for Singapore was averted its flight path to Brunei after a technical issue was spotted in the aircraft.
Flight 5J 803 was redirected to Bandar Seri Begawan at 1:45 a.m. on Friday, Cebu Pacific in an advisory. Another aircraft has been sent forth from Manila to take affected passengers to Singapore, airline carrier added.
Flight diversion was expected to arrive in Brunei at around 12:00 p.m. The same flight is set to depart for Singapore at 12:40 p.m. Meanwhile, the Singapore-Manila return flight, 5J 804, has been delayed.
“We apologize for the inconvenience as the safety of our passengers is our utmost priority,” Cebu Pacific stated.
