Sandiganbayan voided on Thursday, the reopening of former Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr.’s despite being acquitted of plunder last year, trial for 16 counts of graft over his alleged role in the pork barrel scam.
The First Division of the anti-graft court rearranged the hearing on March 14 as they are yet to obtain a formal authority from the Supreme Court to conduct the proceedings at the Sandiganbayan premises.
Revilla is still suspect for purportedly releasing P517 millions of his pork barrel to National Agribusiness Corporation, the Technology Resource Center, and National Livelihood and Development Corp.
Funds were supposedly channeled to fake non-government organizations of suspected scam organizer Janet Lim Napoles Napoles, currently confined at the Correctional Institute for Women (CIW).
Revilla is running for senate in the upcoming May elections.
