Pump prices up anew, gasoline by P0.65/liter

Newly enforced price hikes had been sparer at P0.10 per liter each for diesel and kerosene products. These price adjustments are effective by Tuesday, March 26 at 6 am, according to the pricing adjustment notices sent by the oil companies.

The oil firms that already posted advisories on price increase enactment included Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation, PetroGazz, PTT Philippines, Eastern Petroleum and Unioil while the rest of the industry players are expected to follow.

Prior to of oil cost changes, gasoline prices in Metro Manila at various stations had been ranging from P47.95 to P61.89 per liter.

Diesel price ranges were at P42.30 to P46.65 per liter; while kerosene prices had been hovering about P45.30 to P55.10 per liter, according to the monitoring of the Department of Energy.

Since January, price hikes had subjected the swing in prices at the pumps – as cost rollbacks just occurred at relatively sporadic durations.

For gasoline products, the net increase already reached P8.99 per liter, including this week’s round of adjustment; and for diesel, it so far inched up by P5.99 per liter to-date.
