Police raid alleged underground Chinese Covid-19 treatment in Clark

PAMPANGA – Police authorities raided a makeshift medical facility for Chinese Covid-19 patients on Wednesday.
The joint operation arrested two Chinese nationals who were operating the facility. Ling Hu, 45, the apparent owner of the outfit, and pharmacist Seung-Hyun Lee, 38 were taken in for questioning for the alleged illegal medical operation at the Fontana Leisure Park inside the government-operated Clark Freeport Zone in the town of Mabalacat.
“This illegal activity not only violates the law but also poses danger to individuals who potentially need medical treatment for the deadly disease,” the statement said.
Police confiscated Chinese-labeled medicines used for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. They also discovered around 200 suspected coronavirus rapid test kits and syringes from a trash cans at one of the villas
Local police commander Brig. Gen. Rhoderick Armamento confirmed that the patients were Chinese nationals and that he already ordered his officers to track them down.
Fontana Leisure Park is a known destination for illegal Chinese workers that mostly work for online casinos that cater to Chinese clients.
Clark Development Corp on Wednesday ordered the closure and full lockdown of the resort, adding that the illegal activities do not only violate the law but also pose danger to individuals who potentially need medical treatment for the deadly disease.
