Sol Mercado gets the opportunity to be a player that deals with the business of the game.
Mercado, who dealt to Northport Tuesday as part of the three-player package that allowed Ginebra to land Stanley Pringle from the Batang Pier.
After finding a home in Ginebra as a beloved Gin King, Sol leaves the barangay with a heavy heart.
“I’m going through a truck load of emotions right now,” Sol posted in a message over his social media accounts.
“Thank you for these past four years, I can honestlhy say it’s been the best years of my career,” Mercado added.
With Ginebra, Mercado won his first-ever championship in 2016.
The former no. 5 pick then won a second and third titles with the Gin Kings in 2017 and 2018.
